Acquired by the University of California, Los Angeles in spring of 2016, the Q-Cigarettes App and its parent company, Q-Cigarettes, Inc., were created by then 27-year-old Drew Park, 28-year-old William Tsai, and 25-year-old Owen Parker. They all felt drawn to the opportunity to effect major change in medicine and public health through a low-cost, highly accessible intervention -- the best kind of intervention! The Q-Cigarettes Program offers new and established forms of peer-support/counseling and nicotine replacement therapy conveniently from a single mobile app.
